⚙️ Capabilities & Scale
What is your maximum machining and lifting capacity?
Openex is designed for massive scale. We have 180 acres of factory space and 55 heavy lifting cranes with maximum load capacities of up to 250 tons. Our premier vertical turning and milling centers (VTLs) can machine component diameters up to 22 meters.
Do you offer 'Build-to-Print' contract manufacturing?
Yes. Openex operates primarily as an OEM contract manufacturer. Clients provide us with CAD models, blueprints, and welding specifications, and we perform turnkey execution (cutting, forming, welding, heavy CNC machining, and coating).
Are you a raw material supplier or a fabricator?
While we hold an enormous internal inventory of steel, alloys, and aluminum to ensure our fabrication lines are never delayed by supply-chain issues, our primary service is complete fabrication and precision CNC machining, not acting merely as a material distributor.

What metals do you frequently process?
We process thousands of tons of High-Strength Carbon Steels, 304L/316L Stainless Steel, Duplex and Super Duplex Stainless, Marine-grade Aluminum (5000/6000 series), Wear-resistant plates (e.g., Hardox/AR400), and specialty alloys like Titanium and Inconel.
Do you supply Material Test Reports (MTRs)?
Absolutely. Full material traceability is fundamental to our quality management. MTRs and comprehensive compliance reports are attached directly to your final documentation packages upon delivery.

What industry certifications does Openex hold?
Openex Metal Fabrication is fully compliant and certified with leading international codes including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, CE, ASME, API, and AWS standards. We are equipped to manufacture classified components for offshore, petrochemical, and pressure-vessel operations.
What type of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) do you perform in-house?
To ensure absolute weld integrity without stalling production speed, we provide certified in-house NDT including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Phased Array UT, Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
How do you verify heavy machine tolerances?
We deploy state-of-the-art metrology gear, utilizing extremely large-scale Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and laser tracker arms right on the shop floor to verify that our large multi-meter dimensions hit ±0.05 mm concentricity metrics.
🚢 Logistics & Delivery
Do you ship massive assembled components internationally?
Yes. Due to the coastal location of our facility, we are uniquely equipped to package and securely transport colossal weldments out via breakbulk sea freight. We successfully deliver 150-ton parts globally, executing tailored VCI anti-corrosion marine packaging beforehand.
Can you provide a facility tour prior to us placing an RFQ?
